What We Do

Taking the first step is brave!

Life is hard. Sometimes it feels like problems come one after another. It is overwhelming. You don't have to get through it alone. Therapy is a great place to talk about life's problems where you can say anything and not be judged.  No matter what you’re facing, talking with someone can help. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel like you’re grabbing coffee with a friend…a friend who happens to be a licensed counselor with more than 10 years of experience.

Currently, all sessions will be conducted virtually, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your own home and on a more flexible schedule. Contact me today, so we can get started on the next chapter of your life's story and together, we can help you turn the page.

Types of Therapy

.

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)- based on the theory that thoughts, feelings, what we do and how our body feels are all connected.
  • Dialectical Behavior (DBT)- learn how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships with others.
  • Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)-  a modified form of cognitive therapy that incorporates mindfulness practices that include present moment awareness, meditation, and breathing exercises.
  • Person-Centered-  a type of non-directive therapy that is empathetically driven toward providing a person with a safe space to talk and self-actualize positive changes in their life.
  • Reality Therapy-  a client-centered form of cognitive behavioral therapy that focuses on improving present relationships and circumstances.

"I've seen many therapists and honestly could not imagine my life without the relationship I've built with Stacey."

“Stacey makes it easy to forget you’re in a therapy session instead of catching up with a friend. The environment she creates is calming and lighthearted, making any difficult topic easier to open up about while keeping me accountable for myself and giving me the tools I need to tackle my issues. Her open-mindedness and wisdom opens up new perspectives that never make me feel judged.  It’s easy to see that she is here because she genuinely wants to help and listen, not just because it’s a job.”

“It’s truly hard to find the words to express how thankful I have been for Stacey’s care with my son. She is an extremely experienced, special, thoughtful, kindhearted therapist. Not only has she been an invaluable help to my son, she is always willing to exhaust all efforts (and is a wonderful resource) to help me with any need I may have. Also, she is extremely flexible and will go out of her way to make time in her schedule to meet the needs of her patients. Stacey has had a profound impact on my son's life, and I will be forever grateful to have Stacey in our lives."
